Signify has been named as the partner of Dubai’s Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University in the Innovation Centre, the first innovation and economic free zone among UAE universities.
As part of the university’s plan to build fruitful partnerships with major international companies, the Innovation Centre will be positioned as a strategic link between key elements of HBMSU and the specialised resources of partners from both the public and private sectors.
These are now headed by Signify, and the first of several new areas of bilateral cooperation will be research at the university on a number of topics proposed by Signify.
A certificated joint training programme will also be set up, there will be direct pathways for learners and faculty at the University to reach out to Signify experts, and there are plans to establish a joint assessment centre for designers and architects.
Goktug Gur, President and CEO of Signify in the MEA, Turkey and Pakistan said: “The most recognisable aspect of the partnership between HBMSU and Signify is their shared business values that focuses on putting customers first.
“It was great working with Hamdan University, which truly embraces partnerships and application of innovative technologies to create unique business models and build sustainable communities.”
