The Executive Board of LightingEurope has elected Lionel Brunet as President. He will serve a two-year term.
M Brunet has been CEO of Syndicat de l’Éclairage, the French lighting trade association, since 2013. “I am honoured to be elected President and look forward to working with the Executive Board for all LightingEurope members to deliver our strategic vision and priorities for #Better Lighting for all,” he declared.

The LightingEurope General Assembly also adopted new priorities for 2019-2021 to ensure the organisation remains on track to achieve the industry’s strategic roadmap for 2025. LightingEurope will promote simple rules and will focus on better enforcement, delivering the value of lighting, implementing circular economy thinking and shaping EU legislation impacting lighting.
LightingEurope is an industry association of 33 European lighting manufacturers, national associations, and companies producing materials. It represents over 1,000 European companies (most of them SMEs) with a total workforce of over 100,000 people in Europe and an annual turnover in excess of €20 billion.
