New from DW Windsor: wall-mounted luminaires which mimic natural sunlight

British manufacturer DW Windsor has introduced a pair of economical, high-performance wall-mounted luminaires that extend its popular Kirium and Sephora ranges.

They can both feature SunLike, an innovative and award-winning LED which mimics the spectral power distribution of natural sunlight.

At 122lm/W, Sephora Wall (above) and Kirium Wall (below) offer market-leading efficiency, further enhanced with energy saving control options, from photocell dimming to integral CMS.

With a choice of three application-specific distributions for extremely efficient, and precise lighting control (with a 0% ULOR), wide spacings – in excess of 20m – can be achieved, reducing the required number of luminaires needed per installation.

Unlike many standard bulkheads on the market, Kirium and Sephora wall are IP66 rated and have a predicted lifetime of in excess of 100,000 hours (L80 B10).

Speed of installation is achieved through a simple two-step first-fix baseplate – with automatic electrical disconnection for safety.

The ranges are available in various colours to suit many urban designs. To meet the demand for warmer whites, they come in 2700K, 3000K and 4000K; and, for schemes where lighting for people is of the utmost importance, there’s the new SunLike technology.

Exceptional light quality is achieved with SunLike LEDs. Mimicking natural sunlight, low wavelength blue LED light is removed; this supports human circadian rhythm and is clinically proven to reduce eyestrain and to improve sleep patterns.
