Signify has announced the appointment of Samir Al Aref as General Manager for the Middle East region excluding KSA.
Samir joined the company in 2008 (when it was still named Philips Lighting, of course) and has held several positions within Signify, most recently Professional Channel Sales Leader for the same region where he has been facilitating key partnerships within the public sector. In his new role, Samir will be responsible for defining the regional growth strategy.

Samir holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from McGill University in Canada and has more than 12 years of industry experience with a background in sales management and business development throughout the Middle East. He has successfully assisted several commercial organisations with their transformation into LEDs, systems and services, whilst executing multiple partnership agreements.
He currently represents Signify at the Middle East Lighting Association, engaging with key policymakers and regulators in the region.
